NIMIS – Kaae Rāvenssae Kxaiji visited the Royal Republic of Ladonia in an unofficial friendly visit to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the foundation of the state.
The day started by meeting up on a nearby parking lot. Ladonians, Flandrensians and Obscurians met up before embarking on a trail that leads to Nimis. At a crossroads before the path to Ladonia, HM Queen Carolyn of Ladonia presented a speech to commemorate the occasion. Photographs were taken, and after a short break the trip to Nimis was on its way. The terrain in the scorching Swedish heat proved to be somewhat treacherous, but not too long after, the gates of Nimis appeared.

Afterwards, a short walk down to the coast was undertaken through Nimis.

On the coast of Ladonia, various activities were held, including the annual jump into the sea, the playing of the Ladonian anthem, and a friendly naval exercise from the Obscurian navy. Many tourists visited Ladonia during the time and asked questions about the history of Ladonia, witnessed the activities and took part in the celebrations. Repairs were conducted, and visitors brought wood supplies to the guard of Ladonia to ensure that Nimis will stand for years to come.

Midsummer was also celebrated with the visitors during this friendly visit.
We wish Ladonia many more years of excellence, fun and remaining the beacon of creative expression that it has been for these previous 30 years. We express our gratitude to Lars Vilks – whose birthday we indirectly celebrated (30th Founder’s Day), and we thank him for creating the sculpture that changed the world.
Happy Founder’s Day and anniversary, Ladonia!
